A Pair of Tips
Here are a couple of ideas, that I find helpful. First, when you are finished with your crochet project take a warm iron and iron your knots. They will melt together and won’t show. Secondly, if you enter items in your local fair’s needle craft competitions, place them in clear plastic so they won’t get dirty, but can still be viewed. Joyce from Neb.

Crocheting Filet
Here’s an easy way to keep your Place when crocheting from a filet Diagram: Make a copy of the diagram At your local copy center, you can Have it enlarged for easier reading. Cover this with clear contact paper. Cross off the rows with a dry erase Pen or a dark crayon as you finish

Yarn Control
Can’t control your skein of yarn? Need to keep it clean and untangled? Take a large, round oatmeal box, cut A small hole in the plastic lid, put your skein inside and thread the yarn through the hole. Snap on the lid and you are ready to go. A potato can can works best for smaller skeins of yarn, like baby yarn. Barb from Ohio

Excess Yarn Solution
When my yarn projects are completed, I crochet The remaining yarn into granny squares, or even a Partial square if not enough to make a whole square. I keep them in a box marked Granny Squares. When I want to make an afghan, sweater, hat, scarf or vest, I have a good start on that project. This takes care of My excess yarn. Doris from Pa.

I put a rubber band on my crochet hook Where I can hold it in a comfortable position. The crochet hook will not slip off my fingers Or out of my hand. It feels like holding a Pemcil at the right angle. Anne from NM
