Crochet Play
By June Matthews
Today I will crochet. For now, my work is done, Its time to take some time for me and have some stitching fun. The yarn Ive bought is mohair; The colors are superb. I plan to make the grandest throw. I must not be disturbed! A single stitch, a double; A treble goes right here; A granny square, a popcorn stitch, My projects end is near. I make a slip stitch, tie it off, I suddenly have made This wonderful creation, And all the while Ive played!

Night Escape
By Colleen Carroll
Late at night, when all the world is asleep, I sit, hook in hand. I am bent over mass of yarn in my lap. Some where in the pile, a creation is within. It is emerging, and though I should be sleeping, I cannot. Instead, I am filled with anticipation and excitement as I create, fingers flying, hook moving wildly. It is night, the only time I have, and I treasure my chance to crochet.
